Dabeli

Preparation Time: 15 min. Cooking Time: 45 min. Serves 6


Ingredients:

2 Potatoes Big, Boiled and Mash

1 Onions Big Finely Chopped

2 tbsp Dabeli Masala (Ready-Made)

3 tbsp Oil

1 tsp Garlic Chutney

3 tbsp Khajur Ambli ni Chutney

1 tsp Red Chilli Powder

½ tsp Turmeric Powder

Salt to taste

6 Pav (Bread Rolls)


For Topping:

1 cup Nylon Sev

1 cup Masala Peanuts

1 Onions Very Finely Chopped

1 cup Khajur Ambli ni Chutney

6 tsp Red Chutney

6 tsp Green Chutney

Butter for Toasting


Method:

  1. Boil the potatoes and mash them and keep aside.

  2. In a pan add oil and sauté the onions till they are golden brown.

  3. Add the dabeli masala, garlic chutney, chilli powder and turmeric powder, sauté for a minute.

  4. Now add the mash potatoes and khajur ambli chutney, add ⅛ cup water mix well and cook for 5 minutes, transfer to a plate and start layering.


Layer the Dabeli:

  1. Cut the pav into half and butter them on the outside.

  2. Heat the pan on a low heat and put the pav on the butter side down;

  3. Spread red chutney on one side and green chutney on the other side.

  4. Drizzle a tablespoon of the khajur ambli chutney on the bottom pav.

  5. Take ¼ cup of dabeli stuffing and place it on the pav.

  6. Now put the peanuts, chopped onions, sev and drizzle a tablespoon of the khajur ambli chutney.

  • Take the top pav rollover, serve it immediately and enjoy.
