Bhel

Preparation and Cooking Time: 40 min.


Ingredients:

1 cup Sev

2 cups Murmura (Puffed Rice)

1 Pack Ready-made Samosa Pastry Sheets

½ cup Masala Peanuts

½ can of Kala Chana

2 Medium Boiled Potatoes Finely Chopped

1 Lager Red Onion, Very Finely Chopped

½ tsp Chaat Masala

2 tbsp Coriander Finely Chopped

¼ cup Pomegranate Seeds (when available)


Method:

  1. Fry the samosa pastry sheets and crush them into flakes.

  2. In a big bowl mix the dry ingredients sev, murmura, crushed samosa pastry sheets and masala peanuts.

  3. In the boiled potatoes, sprinkle some salt and red chilli powder.

  4. Now let us start to prepare the bhel, in a big bowl put the dry ingredients, then the potatoes, kala chana, finely chopped red onions, red chutney, green chutney, khajur ambli ni chutney and chaat masala.

  • Mix well, then serve this on a plate and sprinkle with some freshly chopped coriander and pomegranate seeds.
