Dahi Puri

1½ cup Nylon Sev

2 Medium Boiled Potatoes Mashed

1 Lager Red Onion, Very Finely Chopped

1½ cup Chilled Yoghurt

1 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder

½ tsp Red Chilli Powder

½ tsp Chaat Masala

1½ tsp Sugar

¼ tsp Salt

2 tbsp Mint Water

2 tbsp Coriander Finely Chopped

¼ cup Pomegranate Seeds (when available)


  1. Put the yoghurt into a bowl, then add the cumin powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, sugar and salt, mix well and keep aside.

  2. Take each puri and gently make a large hole on the top side with your index finger or thumb for stuffing.

  3. Stuff it with potatoes, onion and sprinkle the sev over it then drizzle the khajur ambli chutney and mint water, then pour the yoghurt on top.

  4. Sprinkle with little cumin powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, chopped coriander and pomegranate seeds.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy.
