3 cups of All Purpose Flour or Very Strong White Flour
7 grams Dry Active Yeast
2 tsp Sugar
½ tsp salt
3 tbsp Oil
¾ to 1 pint Hot Water
In a large mixing bowl, sieve the flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
Add the oil, then mix well till the oil has combined.
Slowly add in hot water and knead the dough, using a fork as the water will be hot, to form a soft dough.
Divide the dough into two balls, leave the dough to rest for 5 minutes covering with a damp kitchen towel.
Work each dough piece with your hands until forming a smooth and even ball, then roll out the dough with a rolling pin then transfer into a lightly buttered tray and spread it out with your hand to the edge of the tray and put it in the oven for 6 hours, this will ferment the dough.
It will make 14-inch pizza or four 7 inch pizzas.
Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 5, bake the pizzas in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the bases are crisp and golden-brown.
