Vegetable Chow Mein

Preparation Time: 10 min. Cooking Time: 20 min. Serves 4


250 grams Eggless Noodles or (Egg)

1 Onion Thinly Sliced

1 Carrot Cut into Thin Strips

100 grams Mangetout Halved (Snow Peas)

100 grams Baby Corn Halved

75 grams Bean Sprouts

1 tbsp Ginger Paste

4 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce

1½ tbsp Chilli Garlic Sauce

2 tbsp Rice Vinegar

1 tbsp Sesame Oil

1 tsp Sugar

1½ tsp Cornflour

Salt to taste

2 tbsp Oil


  1. Cook the noodles according to the packet instruction, drain and set aside.

  2. In a small bowl mix the soy sauce, chilli garlic sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, cornflour with 4 tbsp of water and keep aside.

  3. In a wok heat the oil on high flame, add the mangetout and baby corn, stir-fry for 2 minutes. Then add the onions, carrots, bean sprouts and ginger paste by adding ¼ tsp salt, stir-fry for further 2 minutes.

  4. Now add the noodles and mix then add the sauce and mix well, cook for further 2 minutes.

    • Enjoy hot.
