Ingredients:
500 grams Garmar (A Tuberous Root Plant)
2½ tbsp Mustard Seed Powder (Rai Powder)
125ml Lemon Juice
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
⅛ tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Salt
2½ tsp Oil
Method:
Peel and wash the garmar, cut them into small slice about ¼ inch thick, keeping them in water.
In a saucepan, add the lemon juice, turmeric and salt; sieve and mix the garmar and keep it for three days stirring 2-3 times a day.
Sieve the garmar and keep the lemon juice aside; in a bowl, mix the mustard seed powder, chilli powder and oil.
Add the garmar and 4 tbsp of the lemon juice, mix well until the mustard powder has coated the garmar.
Transfer it into the glass jar and refrigerate, and it will last up to 6 months.
