Khajur Ambli Ni Chutney

Preparation and Cooking Time: 60 min.

Ingredients:

½ cup Tamarind Seedless
 
½ cup Dates Seedless
 
⅛ cup Jaggery Grated
 
2 cups Water.
 
½ tsp Coriander-Cumin Powder (Dhana Jeera)
 
½ tsp Red Chilli powder
 
Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Clean and wash the tamarind, add it to a pan with the dates and water.

  2. Bring it to a boil before adding the jaggery. Then, simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

  3. Cool slightly and mash with a potato masher, then strain the mixture using a strainer.

  4. Keep the mixture thick so you can add water when needed. Add the coriander-cumin powder, chilli powder and salt.

NB:
 
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerated. Will last for 3-4 weeks in the fridge.
