Farali Mogo Nu Shaak

Preparation Time: 5 min. Cooking Time: 25 min. Serves 4
 

 
Ingredients:
 
500 grams Mogo Frozen (Cassava)
 
2 Tomatoes Medium Size
 
2 tbsp Coriander Leaves Finely Chopped
 
3 tbsp Oil
 
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
 
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
 
½ tbsp Green Chilli Paste
 
½ tsp Black Pepper
 
1 tsp Sugar
 
Salt to taste
 

 
Method:

  1. Boil the mogo in water by adding two teaspoon salt, then cut them into 2½ cm cubes.

  2. Coarsely grind one tomato, finely chop the other, and keep them aside.

  3. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds, sauté for 20 seconds, then add the tomato puree, ginger paste, green chilli paste, black pepper, sugar, salt and ¼ cup of water, and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Then add the boiled mogo and chopped tomato and mix well; cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with farali puri or alone!
